On Wednesday of this week, regular classes began a unit on fractions. They discussed page 173-174 in the textbook, then did Lesson 4-5 in the workbook. Regular math students also took home a quiz on LCM for parents to sign.

Advanced math classes participated in a lesson in algebra, lesson 2-1, page 48-49 in the textbook. They did page 50 for homework.

On Thursday, Ms. Lewis taught the regular math classes. They did a lesson on equivalent fractions and used manipulatives to model those fraction equivalents. Their homework was a worksheet entitled "Why Did the Dog Have to Go to Court" which was a review of some of the skills that they would be tested on, Friday, in their unit test.

Advanced math students did 2 fraction lessons on Thursday, with the substitute teacher, Mr. Landry. They read and discussed page 172-173, and then page 178-179. (These were 2 easy lessons from fifth grade, that students simply needed a quick review on.) The homework was assigned on page 174-5 (1-43) and 180 (1-32). Students are allowed to finish the assignment over the weekend if they needed to. That will be their only weekend homework.

On Friday we took our unit test. I hope everyone did well! (Advanced classes will be allowed some time during Monday's class to finish, as their test was longer and several students did not finish.) Have a great weekend!
