Tuesday, August 31: We continued our study on exponents with warm-ups and homework checks. We then reviewed the order of operations. Students in regular math classes should do page 22 (1-12), while advanced math students should do problems 16-27 on that page. Seventh period math should finish their magic squares with exponents. All other classes should work on their book damage lists that are due Friday.

Don't forget the exponent quiz coming up on Thursday. This quiz will not include order of operations yet.

Wednesday, September 1: Warm-ups will be on page 14 (41-46). After checking homework, we will work more on order of operations. Regular math classes should do workbook lesson 1-4 and advanced math classes should do page 22-23 (22-36 and 38). Review exponents for a short quiz on Thursday.

Thursday, September 2: After taking our quiz on exponents, we will learn some number properties on page 24-25. Homework will be another review of order of operations, a worksheet. Remember to finish book damage lists, which are due Friday.

Monday, August 30: Welcome, Anacondas! Today in math we continued our work on exponents, first doing warm-ups on page 14 (25-32), and then checking Friday's homework (page 14, 1-24). Tonight the assignment for 2nd and 3rd periods is the workbook lesson 1-3, while advanced math should do page 15 (47-53). Periods 2, 3, and 6 should work on their book damage list which is due on Friday. 7th period will do their book damage list starting tomorrow night, as we did not get to that item in class today.

Remember, all math work should be done in pencil on looseleaf paper. The assignment is not completed until it is placed in the math section of the binder, and locked into place with the three rings.

Students should remember to copy the problems and show their work.

There will be a quiz on Thursday on exponents. We hope this will be a great week!
