HAPPY NEW YEAR AND WELCOME BACK! We've missed you!

For our first lesson of the year, we reviewed multiplication and division of mixed numbers, then took a Blue Diamond Assessment of those skills. Second period math will review further tonight, by completing workbook page 3-6 (13-20). Third period math also learned to use scientific notation to write very small numbers, using negative exponents. They should complete the worksheet on that tonight. Advanced math classes should do page 130 (45-54) as a review.

ALL CLASSES SHOULD COMPLETE THE STUDY ISLAND 6TH GRADE PRETEST BY THE END OF THIS WEEK. THIS PRETEST WAS ACTUALLY ASSIGNED OVER THE HOLIDAYS. ONCE THE PRETEST IS TAKEN, STUDENTS MAY THEN START EARNING BLUE RIBBONS! PARENTS, ASK YOUR CHILD ABOUT OUR SCHOOL-WIDE BLUE RIBBON CONTEST!
