For Monday, March 14, we will discuss the Blue Diamond Assessments we took last week, so that students can correct any mistakes they made on finding percentages. Warm-ups for Monday will be on page 457 (39, 40, 41, and 47). For homework, they will work on their graphing project, "Luck O' The Irish." Anyone who is finished already with their project may do the Mystery Picture on the back of the graph. These graphs are due on St. Patrick's Day (Thursday), for advanced math students, and Friday for regular math classes.
Tuesday, March 13, we will review scientific notation with negative exponents, then review multiplying and dividing with exponents, in preparation for our next Blue Diamond Assessment. Then we will take our quiz on integers, finishing it for homework.
Wednesday, March 14, we will do some more exponent review for warm-ups, then take the Blue Diamond 9 Assessment on integers and exponents. Homework Wednesday night will be on page 502 (1-12 for regular math, and 6, 7, 11-22 for advanced math classes.) Remember graphs are due tomorrow for advanced math students. Regular math students should have their graphs finished by Friday.
Thursday's warm-ups will be on page 457 (42-45). The "Luck O'The Irish" graphing projects will be due today for advanced math classes. They are due on Friday for regular math classes. After checking homework, we will begin finding perimeters and areas of parallelograms and triangles. Students should practice memorizing these formulas for their quiz next week. We will read and discuss pages 504-505, then do page 506 (1-16) as homework.
Friday's warm-ups will be on page 461 (34-40). We will check homework, then continue to practice finding perimeter and area. Second period math should do Workbook Lesson 10-2, while 3rd, 6th and 7th period math should do a worksheet.
