On Monday of this week, students did Warm-Ups on page 425 (49-51) to review and reteach percents, decimals and fractions. Then they checked their homework and learned about transformations (translations, reflections, and rotations). Read page 365-366, then do page 367-368 (1-17).

Warm-ups on Tuesday continued the practice on percents, to help students prepare for their Blue Diamond Assessments on those skills. We worked on Blue Diamond 7 and 8, and will finish in class tomorrow. For homework, regular math students should do Workbook 7-10, while advanced math students will do that page along with a worksheet on angles. They should do the right hand side of the worksheet only. All students will take a quiz on Thursday on classifying triangles and transformations. Also, all classes will have their angles quizzes returned and should get those quizzes signed for extra credit.

Warm-ups for Wednesday are on page 414 (4, 5, and 6) on proportions and map scales. After checking homework, students will be assigned page 384-386 (3-11 and 18) to help them prepare for their quiz on Thursday. We will also introduce integers in class this day. Advanced math students will do the left-hand side of the worksheet on angles (1-23).

Thursday's warm-ups are on page 425 again, problems 52-59. After checking homework, we will take our quiz. Then we will do homework on page 389 (1-10). On number 6, be sure to work out all 4 problems to pick the best answer choice.

On Friday, our warm-ups will be on integers, Workbook 9-1. Then we will check homework.
Our lesson will be on comparing and ordering integers, from page 454-455 in the text. Homework will be on page 456 (1-30).

Remember that we do offer homework help after school on Tuesdays. If any student is struggling with a concept, they are encouraged to come for extra help, or just to have time to get homework done, on those afternoons. Please see Mrs. Woodward for a permission form to stay.
