During the week, we will be discussing the rain forest! This is actually a science and social studies unit, with a little math mixed in, but as we spent so much time the past couple of weeks reviewing for and taking the EOG's, we thought it would be nice to take a break from math. Besides, this is an area of great interest and concern for Mrs. Goolsby.
Students will be working in a rain forest booklet, with pages to read and worksheets to complete. The booklets will be discussed in class and students may take them home to work on also. They should be completed by the end of the week. They will be graded, so do a good job on them. The grade will count as a social studies assignment.
During the week, students will also receive the quiz they took last week on functions and transformations. We'll discuss them in class, and then take a test on those two units at the end of the week. Be sure to ask questions as we review and reteach for that test.
Next week we'll begin our unit on integers: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
