Today we took up the Workbook Lesson 11-6 that was assigned over the weekend to be graded. They will be returned during the week. We practiced some warm-up problems on the board determining how many outcomes were possible with different permutations. Then we learned to write an equation for a function. Tonight, read page 598-599, and do page 600-601 (1-24, omitting 1, 10, 17, 18, and 19).
For warm-ups on TUESDAY, we will practice making some more predictions, as on page 582. After checking homework, we will learn to graph transformations. Read page 610-611, then do page 611-612. You will need graph paper to do the next 3 lessons. You may put several lessons on one sheet of paper.
On WEDNESDAY, we will do Workbook Lesson 12-3 as a warm-up. Then we will learn to graph reflections. Read page 613-614, then do page 614-615 (1-13).
THURSDAY, we will practice som more graphing of reflections, using Workbook Lesson 12-4.
Finally, on FRIDAY, we will review area and circumference of circles, then check homework. We will practice graphing rotations. Read page 616-617 and so page 618-619 (1-13).
Remember to start reviewing each night in your workbook to make sure that you are ready for the EOG's next week. Try one or two problems on each workbook page to see if you remember the material.
Students may stay after school Tuesday or Wednesday for extra help. Just have a parent write a note in the planner on that day to give a student permission to stay. We are here until 4:45 each day.
Also, remember to check grades in SPAN at least once weekly so that you can keep up with progress. Parents should have seen each grade, to be signed, before it is entered into SPAN. Please ask to see one grade each week, parents. Thanks for your help.
